Tamsen profiles Kara in the WPIX series, “Changemakers.” Kara talks about the early days of Hint. She says, “for me it was an epiphany with my own heath. I gained a bunch of weight, I had adult acne and my energy levels were low. I knew it was better for me, but just didn’t taste good. So I started to slice up fruit and throw it in water. I didn’t even think of it as a company frankly, because I had worked for these big companies. I really thought of it as ‘can I just get this product on the shelf at Whole Foods and try and help a few people?’”
