Busy December? Here’s Some Good Stuff You Might Have Missed
7 minute read
After cramming everything in before the holidays, hopefully you have some time set aside to rest and refuel. I’ve been so inspired by the ideas and stories of the people I’ve interviewed lately. I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorites to enjoy in this last week of 2020.
The Kara Goldin Show. Honestly, these three episodes are must-listen interviews – see more on each guest below:
- Listen: Kristi Herold, Jam Events
- Listen: Susie Carder, “Power Your Profits”
- Listen: Michelle Cordeiro Grant, Lively

I get a lot of questions sent to me about entrepreneurship – here are some of my recent takes on starting and running a company.

➔ And my book, of course, which came out a few weeks ago!
So thrilled that “Undaunted: Overcoming Doubts and Doubters” became a Wall Street Journal and Amazon Best Seller! I’ve received so many comments back from readers excited by the motivation it gave them leading into 2021. If you haven’t ordered the book yet, you can get it here.
But back to the podcasts…
My recent podcast guests have been a singular group of a) awesomely inspiring and b) endlessly fascinating leaders who succeeded on pure grit and determination.
Including Kristi Herold, CEO of Jam Events who is my guest on the show this week!
Hint hosted a virtual holiday party this month, and it was incredibly fun! I mention this because Kristi Herold and Jam Events organized the whole thing. This entrepreneur didn’t let the shutdown stop her from launching a new business. Jam Events started this past summer as an off-shoot to Kristi’s successful 25-year-old recreational league company. And now virtual events and parties are her specialty — oh and taking team bonding to a new level. Check out her amazing story and learn from this inspiring leader who embodies the idea of living undaunted.
Susie Carder recently published her book, “Power Your Profits: How to Take Your Business from $10,000 to $10,000,000.” Talk about a wonderful story! Susie has reinvented herself — twice! First time: in the beauty industry, and the second time as a “Profit Coach.” The common ingredient in both phases of her career? Her limitless drive and determination.
Hers is an entrepreneurial success story like no other.
And last, but certainly not least, Michelle Cordeiro Grant sat down with me to talk about the apparel start-up she launched four years ago, Lively. I have so much to say about Michelle and her incredible story of “getting off the straight and narrow,” leaving her very comfortable job in the corporate fashion world, and launching a category-disrupting apparel brand. I’ll just say this: do yourself a favor and just click to hear her story.
Michelle basically offers a half-hour class in How to Build A Start-Up: 101, and it’s required listening for any entrepreneur.
That’s all! (I think that’s enough :))
Thank you all for your support and comments and inspiration. And here’s to a wonderful New Year!
