Dr. Nayan Patel: Founder of Auro Wellness
Episode 818
On today’s episode, we welcome Dr. Nayan Patel, Founder of Auro Wellness — the science-driven wellness and skincare brand centered on the power of topical glutathione, often called the body’s “master antioxidant.” A pharmacist with more than 30 years of experience in advanced biochemistry, Dr. Patel has dedicated his career to understanding how oxidative stress impacts the body and how to support cellular health more effectively.
In this conversation, we explore why glutathione plays such a critical role in detoxification, energy, and healthy aging — and why traditional delivery methods often fall short. Dr. Patel shares the science behind Auro’s patented antioxidant delivery system, how topical application can improve absorption, and why internal health and external beauty are deeply connected. We also discuss misconceptions around detox, the future of longevity science, and what it takes to build a brand rooted in rigorous research. A thoughtful episode for anyone interested in cellular health, innovation, and science-backed wellness.

Join me each week for inspiring conversations with some of the world’s greatest leaders. We’ll talk with founders, entrepreneurs, CEOs and really, some of the most interesting people of our time. Can’t wait to get started. Let’s go. Let’s go. Hi everyone, and welcome back to the Kara Goldin show. Super excited to have my next guest. Here. We have Dr Nayan Patel, and he is not only a pharmacist and a doctor, but also the founder of an incredible, incredible skincare brand called Oro wellness, and we’re going to get into all of that in a few minutes. He also wrote a book a few years back that I absolutely am obsessed with, called the glutathione revolution, and he is known as the doctor of glutathione, and I’m so curious about this, so we’ll definitely get into that as well. But if you have ever heard of glutathione, or are curious about it, the so called Master of antioxidant is here with us, and but if you didn’t exactly know what it is, you’re going to learn all about this. So Dr Patel has become internationally recognized for his work in advanced biochemistry and antioxidant science, and after years of researching how stress impacts the body at the cellular level, he founded Auro Wellness, and I am so happy he did. I absolutely love the products and cannot wait to hear more about in his spare time how he decided to go and launch this incredible skincare brand. So Dr Patel, welcome to the Kara Goldin show. So excited to have you here.
Dr. Nayan Patel 2:22
Well, the examiner is mine, by the way, so thank you for inviting me. This is amazing. So can’t wait to dive into the story, because this everybody has a story, right? And so I just want to make sure that I’m here to connect with people and educate them and hopefully put them in a journey where they can tell their story one day.
Kara Goldin 2:41
I love it well. For listeners just discovering Auro Wellness, how do you describe the brand and its mission?
Dr. Nayan Patel 2:50
It’s if you read my book, the first chapter of the introduction tells my mission, right there. My mission is absolutely reach the world. We are technology that can change every human being on this planet. And my goal is just flat out reach every human being on this planet and get them to experience what life is all about. We’ve been told that we are we are born, we grow up and we die, but they don’t. They never tell you that the last years of your before you die is, is absolutely nobody wants to live through that. And I want to change that forever for everybody. I want to have such a successful life for everybody that on the last day when you’re about to exit this planet, that you just been picked up from, from wherever you are on a golf course, on a beach in the Bahamas, or wherever you are just getting being picked up, and your job is done. I want that life for everybody.
Kara Goldin 3:44
That’s incredible. So you are a doctor, can you talk to us a little bit about your practice and how that all came to be?
Dr. Nayan Patel 3:54
I am a pharmacist by trade. I did my doctorate in pharmacy, and it’s like the physicians that I work with they mostly diagnose people what’s wrong with it. They tried really hard to figure out what’s wrong with you. Once they find what’s wrong with you, I get to go to work because my job is to find a product or a solution to get rid of their problem. And so all my clients, I only work with physicians. All my clients are physicians only, and I train them, and I teach them how to find products or solutions that they’re finding the problems for. And of course, some of my clients can bypass the doctors. If they are some multi billionaires, they’ll, they’ll bypass the doctor and come to me directly. But I try not to do that as much as possible, so, but my job is really helping those physicians find a solution for the thing they just discovered in their patients.
Kara Goldin 4:49
So I read in your book about all about chronic stress and how that depletes the antioxidant levels in the body. Can you talk about that? And. Maybe how that led to really being the father of glutathione. I’ll call you that. You’re not calling yourself that necessarily, but I mean, I think you’ve put so much focus on it, which is terrific. And I’m such a big believer in glutathione myself. So big, big believer.
Dr. Nayan Patel 5:22
So let me just tell you my story from when I first graduated, because that that tells me why, why I chose this path as soon as I graduated from one of the top universities in in in the United States. And when you graduate from a top university, you know you have this preconceived ideas that you can save the world, right? And so I was one of those kids that said, You know what? I have all this knowledge. I’m gonna save the world. And very soon, I found out that the whole system is set up in such a way that all I was supposed to do was manage people’s medication problems, not solve any problems. And goes, Wait a second. I think I can help people solve the problems. I said, No, no, you all you can do is manage people’s problems for rest of their lives. The word cure was removed from the dictionary completely, and so all I was supposed to do is manage problems. I said, Okay, wait a second. That doesn’t jive very well with me. So then I started looking at and as at that time, I started doing compounding and started making medications for my elite clients, and in there, back in the late 90s, the word anti aging was the most popular word. Today there’s functional medicine, integrative medicine, and you can name all these different ways of doing things, but back in 1999 the word was anti aging, and my clients came to me and say, Naya, do you have something for anti aging? I want to live for I got all the money in the world, but I don’t want to die. And so I looked at it and said, Hey, what’s the number one cause of death in the world? And if you think about it, I look at all the diseases, there’s one thing that’s common amongst every single disease on this planet, one thing, and that is oxidative stress. Oxidation happens every single second of your body because you breathe oxygen. Your body has all this chemical reactions. So you breathe all the time, you make all the oxygen species all the time, and these species are actually damaging your body. That’s why you age progressively every single day of your life. And so my job was, hey, if I can figure out how to reduce oxygen stress down to bare minimum enough for the body can survive, but not enough, but not too much, that can kill you faster. So my job was oxygen stress. And sure enough, one of the cardiologists in California came to me, I said, and he was in his 70s at that time. I said, Hey, Diane, can you do me a favor? With all the knowledge you have, can you make me a really good vitamin C product? Because I heard oxygen stress is the number one killer of the world. Said, Yeah, I know that part. Can you make me vitamin C part? And I go, vitamin C. Our body does not produce vitamin C. A body produce glutathione. Why can I work on glutathione? Oh, no, that’s too difficult. 140 years it’s been, people have done all kinds of research. Nobody’s ever figured out how to get inside your body. So let’s not waste your time. Let me work on vitamin C. I said, Okay, do you mind if I work on glutathione? Hey, knock yourself out. You can do whatever you want to do. But on my when I pay you, can you work on vitamin C for me? So I made this product for him, but back and I started working on glut ion. And he was right. It was extremely difficult. If you inject the glutathione, it can get inside your body, right? You see it can’t get inside your cells. If I take any technology products, like liposome technology products or capsules, or inhale solutions or some positives. So no matter what I took, it can never get inside your cell membrane. And so that’s when I figured out that the reason why people are dying is because, as we start aging, we can never get the glutathione levels back to normal, ever, ever. And so that was my last mission. I said, You know what? I will figure it out. I will make it happen one way or another. And if I die trying, at least I die trying.
Kara Goldin 9:11
So interesting. And so what did you So, what did you ultimately do, if for listeners who have not read the book yet, without giving too much of it away.
Dr. Nayan Patel 9:22
That’s okay. I can give the whole book away, because then you don’t have to buy the book, but you can fall for from a marketing plot. In the book, it says 14 days plan to boost your glutathione levels. It’s not a 14 day plan. It’s a lifelong journey for me. So don’t get it fall for that marketing technique, but if you do fall for that part, thank you so much. But anyways, for the listeners, I want to want them to understand that my journey began in 2007 and I thought that was the end of my journey, and that was the beginning of the journey, because in 27 I discovered for the very first time how I can get the gluten through inside your cell membrane. So. Today, we have 13 patents on it approved already. I have budget patterns still pending at this point. But back then, when I first discovered the way I can get inside your cell membrane, my man just went completely berserk. I said, Holy mackerel. What am I going to do with this thing now? Right? I have so much work to do. That’s the day I started writing the book, because that’s the day I figured out, okay, I’m going to start collecting the journeys. So what I did was, in oh seven, it was too early in the game. I had no idea what this product was supposed to do for us for the sort of for the next three or four years, I spend figuring out how much to give you, how often to give you. Am I going to get any side effects? Am I going to be issues? And once I figured those things out. I found the dosage that I need to give to the patients. I said, Okay, I call all the doctor friends. I said, Hey, here’s the product. Use it for your patients and send the results to me, because I document every single thing. The book is all about stories that the patients have gone through in their own life, that they have seen success in their life. And if it’s not a panacea, it’s not a cure all, but it might as well be, because oxygen stress is linked to so many different issues. That is, people don’t even think about it. Say, Hey, is my problem because of oxygen stress? I said, if it is, in 30 days, you will see the results. It’s that simple. If it’s not, at least, you know the problem is not due to oxidative stress, and you can work on something else. So sometimes it just, it just gives you the confirmation where the problems are arising from. And so the list is, I want them to see my journey as to from the discovery of the product for the next 14 years, what I went through it and trying, on patients, with working with the physicians, and cut all the stories so people can appreciate my hard work and this and the success stories that I have over the years. And then eventually, I decided, You know what, I gotta get this available to the rest of the world. So that’s when I first started doing that, by 2021
Kara Goldin 11:59
so and Oro health was born. I mean, from that, from sort of that ethos of of, you know, trying to get the topical solution
Dr. Nayan Patel 12:12
for this. So the topical so this was, this was discovered in my pharmacy. So I have a pharmacy, a company, pharmacy that we did all the hard work over there. We just got in 2007, and then three or four years I figured out what the dosing was. About the time my dad got sick. So he was my patient number one as to real patient that started using the product on a regular basis, and about two years later, I see so much success in him that I decided to launch the company at that time. Well, I formed the company. I didn’t launch a product yet. I just formed the company 2013 but it took me another nine years before I actually launched a product to the public. But I launched the company that day in the hope that one day I will make this product to the world.
Kara Goldin 12:59
So, so good. So you launched it the oral wellness. You and I were talking about the name. Can you share a little bit about how you came up with the name? Because I think that’s so terrific.
Dr. Nayan Patel 13:12
So oro. Oro is a place in India. It’s an ashram. There’s actually, there’s something called Oro wheel, which is a small sanctuary. It’s a city where, in fact, all the locals still work on a barter system. There’s no money. They work on barter system. Is such an amazing place to be at. I think there’s only place in the world that still work on barter system. I’m sure there’s some, some villages in some Amazon forest. They have never seen money before, Sunday. I’m sure that they are there as well. But this is civilized society that your money is worthless because you have to do something to get something for some from somebody. But Oro is a place in India, and my dad has been devotee of this place for decades, since the 50s, and so the name means to me, reminds me of integrity, honesty and absolute resilience in anything you do. And so it, it keeps me grounded whenever I see, whenever I say the word oral reminds me of never to cheat anybody, always be authentic and make always do something that is absolutely profound in everybody’s life, and so that names brings me those memories. So whatever I do, whatever I create, is going to be earth shattering. That’s that’s the way I feel like it so.
Kara Goldin 14:32
And although you are a pharmacist, this is a product that you don’t need a prescription to buy. This, this product, and it’s packaged so beautifully as well. When you decided that you were going to launch a you’ve launched not only a company, but also a skincare brand. Yes. Can you talk to me about like, how many. Did you start with how many different products, and what does that look like today? And maybe just talk individually about each of the products that you launched.
Dr. Nayan Patel 15:09
It was one SKU. One SKU, because if something is that good, you don’t need to have you need to stack whole bunch of products to get the results. One product can get the results you’re looking for. So my one SKU was just a glutathione product. That’s it. So that was my skincare product. Was a what was the glutathione product? And what I found out was no, if you, if you go to war and and dealing with the human body is a war, right? If you go in a war, one person cannot succeed by himself, right? So you need, you need a team of people to basically do, do the work, but they’re not overlapping. You cannot have two cooks in one kitchen. You cannot, just cannot have that part. So then I started figuring out. I said, What do I need? Everything, everything that I need, right? So I only had one problem, which was a glutathione product. So I said, Okay, what do I need? Everything. So I figured out all the chemicals that I needed to help my body with oxygen, stress and rejuvenation. So I figured out I need vitamin C, co Q, 10 L, carnosine. I had some resveratrol. I need some DMA, is a fish proteins. I wanted some cyclostraginal Because that’s helps with the DNA repairs and for telomerase lengthening. And so I said, Hey, if all these products are there, right, if, with my technology, I can put everything into one or two. So when I first started, I said, Okay, I want to give them two serum, which is the most profound, strongest serum, which is the glutinium and the vitamin C serum. And with that, I can give you two creams, which is the Ryzen revive, which is all my mitochondrial boosters, which is CO Q 10, vitamin C carnosine. So I use that as a day cream, and in the evening, the rise and revive cream. I wanted to add resveratrol, cyclostarginol, because I want to repair any, any damaged DNA. And so hopefully that get a chance to buy to to protect in the morning, repair, restore in the evening. Because no matter what we do, our body is going going to get damaged every single day anyways. So I had to give a chance to repair all the time. It’s like having your own stem cells, so to speak, on a daily basis. So, so those are the two creams and two serums. Is all I had. That’s it. So the four skews, and eventually I put one of the skews, which is my glutathione serum, also as a as a wellness product for people, because I want people to just use that one product for having a profound impact, and it mainly was what was for my physician. So I’m a doctor, wanted this one product as a professional line. So as of right now, we have five SKUs now because of that,
Kara Goldin 17:52
they’re amazing. And what are consumers telling you about the results as well? So because it’s your with your brochure that is attached to it too. I mean, it’s, it’s quite amazing.
Dr. Nayan Patel 18:07
So the results are, I wish, I wish I can, I can tell you every single thing I get every day, some of the claims I get from people. There’s this like, Oh, my God, you had this profound impact on your life, I can’t even share with people, because it becomes a drug, right? It’s just so it’s so sad, because it’s not that the gluten is doing all this work. Is only thing is doing is reducing oxidative stress down and reducing all the toxic load in your liver. But by doing so, your body goes into this repair rejuvenate mode that I have. People have got into diabetes. People have got to try the triglycerides. People have done some some amazing results that share with me. I had a I had a mom that sent call me crying, saying that my daughter is singing for the first time in seven days after using your product and she was autistic. I had one of the ophthalmologist surgeons. He’s also neurosurgeon in the Florida’s in his eyes, and it’s the floors when I’m in 30 days or less. I said, gluten doesn’t do any of those things, but what it does is that it does the number one, number two job for your body. So the body is freed up to do all the work. Imagine, in your own company, all of your audience. I’m assuming they run a business right in all your in all your businesses, if the number one, number two job is done, which is bring in the sales and fulfill all the orders, if those two things are done all the time, guess what? It frees. Frees you up to do the rest of the work. Repair the team. Rebuild the team, make it robust, get more, get more out there. You can do lot more work. But if you’re always in a firefighting mode, trying to put all the put all the fires every single day, you’ll never grow your business. You’ll never do it. In fact, most people will die in the firefighting mode, right? So I want to get my boss. Body outside the firefighting mode into healing, repair, and that’s what the glutathione does. And by the when the stories comes in every morning, like I had a lady today, she she said this big on I just got my second ship finish, and I l, o, V, in capital quotation mark. I love the products. It has changed my life. I don’t know what it changed yet, because I will reach out to her today again, but I get this messages every single day, and I’m so blessed that I get to see this thing, and that’s one of the reasons. If you read my introduction, my my father was my inspiration. And said, Hey, Nan, this product, and I’ll tell you my father’s story too, why he was so so adamant about me doing what I’m doing today that this, this thing, is going to change people’s lives. It’s changed my life. And I want to make sure you promise me one thing, you do whatever it takes to reach the world and make sure everybody has access to this product, because it is is unknowingly, is going to help so many people that they’re going to just kind of, they’re just going to bless you with all the blessings you don’t you won’t need money in the future. What you need is blessings, and that’s what you’re going to get.
Kara Goldin 21:11
So beyond that ingredient, and I know you talked about different ingredients that you’re mixing with Auro, but you also have copper peptides and some other amazing, amazing things in there. Is there anything else, any other ingredient that is just maybe a little under the radar, but is just amazing?
Dr. Nayan Patel 21:35
So, copper peptide, we just launched in November 2025, and four years it was in my lab. Four years I was, you know, my brain works different exam. I’m a pharmacist. I’m always looking to heal a problem, right? I was on looking for skin care. I was not looking for skin care, tissue repairs, joint repairs. There’s so much other benefits. So I was trying to help the body do all the repair work. Because now, once oxygen stress is down, how can I help the body go into repair mode? So I was always thinking about Repair, repair, repair and say, How can I aid my body as their stem cell signaling molecules? But stem cells is like mother in law, that’s telling you what to do. They’re not doing all the repair by itself. They’re telling your body to repair, but it needs ingredients repair. What if I tell you a handyman? Say, handyman, go to my house and fix the wall. I said, I can fix the wall, but I need some drywall sheets. I need some nails. I need all this stuff. I don’t, I don’t have all the building blocks. So I go look back. I said, Hey, what are the building blocks? That’s what the GHK came into my place, because the plasma your your all your plasma gets as you get older, the body will, will, will, will build a new Plasma. The old gets discarded and dumped it away. The body says, Hey, wait a second. Don’t dump everything. I’ll piss it off. I’ll take some of the GHK out of it, and I use that into my other parts of the body to fix it. So the body is their own recycling plant. The gha combines with the copper and gets lodged into soft tissues, your your joints, your skin, all those places. And so Wait a second. If I can get GHK back into the body, I can trigger all those things. So last year, I was at a at an event, when I was, I started using the product about about a year ago, myself, personally, I was, I wasn’t trying to launch the company yet, out of the product yet. I was at an event, and they got, they gave me the award for the best technology of the World Award, something like that. But anyways, I was and they scanned my face, and that’s what products you take. I said the karma peptide and my face cream. That’s why I take it. Nothing else, no sunscreen, no sunblock. I mean, I’m in California. Always Sunny out. Out here, I’m bald, so I get sunburned all the time, but not really, but anyways, but so because, Oh, amazing. Let me show you a face. They take a picture. They didn’t believe the picture first time, so they discard the picture. They take a second picture, same results. Comes in and say, oh my god, I did not have a single.of sun damage spot on my whole face and my head anything. And the lady goes, I’ve never seen this before. My Tracks on my on my lips didn’t exist. My crow’s feet is, I’m 54, years old, and nothing or on my face. That’s the day I come back from from the event, I told my marketing team. I said, Hey, we are new product to launch. Is a copper peptide. And she goes, Oh my God, it’s about time. I’ve been telling you for two years, this is an amazing skincare product, but until I saw you on my own cell, I was already released the product yet. So that’s it took me 10 months but did it release a part in November of 2025
Kara Goldin 24:44
so if a consumer is trying to figure out if they are low in glutathione levels, do you see something, I mean, you mentioned, like sun damage and things like that. Do you see something in somebody’s do. Face or can you do a blood test? I mean, what? What can you do to find out about that?
Dr. Nayan Patel 25:07
So let me just tell you flat out, by the time you pick up in a test or a scan or anything else from a doctor’s offices, you’re about 1520, years too late. So I don’t want you to put all the faith and trust in some tests. By the way, we need the tests because we don’t have no idea what to fix if you do not know what’s wrong with us. But I’m telling you right now that starting the age of 2829 now we have all these AI models we are trying to figure out. All this human mapping studies are done. We have all this massive database that’s telling us the age of 2829 is a very first time your body’s is accelerating in the aging process until time you’re basically a flat line. You’re not aging at all. You’re flatlined. You’re aging a little bit. But nothing crazy in 2029 is is going crazy for the first time, and nobody could figure out what was going on until now. Now we know that the reason the phasing is because the genetic markers are moving. Because of oxidative stress is increasing, the mutations are also increasing. So if you are 2029, I can literally ziplock you, vacuum pack you and preserve you as is for the rest, I don’t, God knows how many years, as long as you get pre oxy stress down to bare minimum with glutathione. If we are 40 years of age, which we this is when the first time you notice the oxygen stresses has changed your metabolic panel, right? Or your markers have been getting bad. It’s about the age of 40 ish is when we first see it. But that’s 1213, years of damage has already happened. So by the time you do a blood test and you find out or have lower glutathione, you’re about 12, minimum, 12 to 13 years. And in the in the worst case scenario, you’re probably about 15 or 20 years too late, because that’s when you find out that there’s a problem with you. And by the way, I give this example all the time. Kara, if you have a $5,000 expense on a monthly basis, and you make $5,000 a month, how much money you have left over? 00, right, right? If you go for another year or five years, or 10 years, or 40 years, how much money you have left over still zero, because whatever your expenses are is all, all you make. So the glutathione the body only produces enough for you to survive is there’s no excess of storage of glutathione. The only thing that body stores is the access form of glutathione, which is, which is not, not the correct form of glutathione, but the body will take the oxidative form of glottal, get it reduced, and use it again so there is no excess storage of glutathione. Okay. So what I’m trying to say is that stop looking for some blood tests. That’s going to tell you, by the time you do a blood test for glutathione, the levels could be high, and you use a false and security, the levels could be low anything you have low blood but they may not be true, because your body is using up on a regular basis, all because you’re breathing oxygen every single second, so it’s calm being using up. So it’s very hard to identify. Only thing that we do know with oxygen, oxygen stress levels are rising your your meta your metabolism is changing, your genetic code is changing, and that’s the aging process starting now. We already know what the age is. So if you’re 25 years of age, you don’t need to supplement anything. Just have a diet. In my book, there’s a diet plan to have you boost your glutathione levels. Naturally follow that. But once you’re 2829 or 30, by all means, glutathione is going to be the best thing that you can do for you to preserve your youth. Right now, I wish I had that.
Kara Goldin 28:58
